CONTINUING EDUCATION
HYPOGUARD: MANAGING DIABETES IN THE LONG TERM CARE FACILITY
Hypoguard, a Medisys Group Company, requested a one-hour, enduring,
self-directed and accredited CE activity targeted at nurses and
nursing assistants. The content: assessment, evaluation techniques
and management options for patients with diabetes in long term
care facilities. Hypoguard develops, manufactures and distributes
diagnostics products and related medical devices to monitor chronic
conditions such as diabetes.
Their project employed our expertise
in the Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing Professional
Development combined with our ability to produce technology assisted
educational programming. We worked with the content expert for
a comfortable and effective presentation in a recording environment,
adapted presentation visuals, and shot, edited, and produced the
associated printed materials.
150 long term care facilities received
a learning package which included a VHS tape and print outs to
support 14 learners with: the presenter’s PowerPoint slides,
evaluation forms, post-tests and applications for credit. |
